GSMSolar in Kunshan has a total slicing capacity in 45MW. Wire saws have been imported from both HCT and Meyer Burger. GSMSolar slices 125x125 and 156x156 mono and multi wafers with thickness below 200 microns. The Company has supplied an overseas cell manufacturers with 165 micron wafers and has produced tested wafers at 70 microns!

 Within the next 12 months, the company will increase its slicing capacity to 150MW.

 


As part of its cost reduction per wattprogram, GSMSolar has a very advanced silicon carbide slurry recycling program. An entire building in its Kunshan Facility is dedicated to this process.
